Title
First annual conference of Infobip Africa division
Africa Connect conference held in Zanzibar was another step forward in the strategic alignment and consolidation of Infobip’s operations across the African continent, which saw a number of great projects in the last 12 months. In 2016, we’ve added to our local presence on the continent an office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, strengthening our position in francophone Africa. We’ve established local presence in Zambia through an office in Lusaka, while offices in Accra and Dar Es Salaam have outgrown their capacity and have been moved to bigger spaces. Nairobi office will soon follow. In South Africa, we’re maintaining an end-to-end business messaging solution, a unique technical concept and the only solution of that kind on the market.Infobip’s messaging solutions are currently deployed in 40+ African banks, for which we provide full technical support and ongoing development. Throughout 2016 we’ve kept our focus on large enterprises and financial institutions, which currently constitute the majority of our client portfolio and revenue. We’ve also hosted high-profile tech events in Kenya, Ghana and Morocco, gathering more than 100 banking professionals from across Africa, specialized in mobile and communications solutions in enterprise environments.
In 2017 we’ll continue working on local presence and keeping good relationships with our partners, providing not only A2P SMS connectivity and services, but also rolling out our omnichannel solution. It’s what we see as the next step in customer communications and we’ve already had very positive feedback from our partners in Africa, and a real need for such a unified omnichannel solution.
