Conversations API
Get template and Get templates endpoints update
The Get template (opens in a new tab) and Get templates (opens in a new tab) endpoints now include a new field called languageCode

CPaaS X
Alphanumeric resource type now available in Application and Entity Management API
The Infobip Application and Entity Management API (opens in a new tab) now supports alphanumeric resource types, empowering businesses to associate branded sender names with their applications and entities. This enhancement streamlines messaging campaign management and unlocks new possibilities for personalized messaging strategies.
Key benefits:
-
Access to alphanumeric senders: Associate alphanumeric sender IDs with your applications and entities for improved messaging capabilities. The
resourceType
parameter now includes"ALPHA"
, making it easier to integrate branded sender IDs through the resource association endpoint.Example: Creating a resource association with an alphanumeric sender
jsonPOST /provisioning/1/associations { "resourceType": "ALPHA", "channel": "SMS", "applicationId": "test-application", "entityId": "test-entity", "resourceId": "test-resource" }
-
Smart sending strategies: Use alphanumeric sender IDs to deliver targeted, branded, and personalized messaging campaigns that enhance customer engagement and brand recognition.
For more information about resource association, refer to our Resources page and API documentation (opens in a new tab).
Improvements to Suppressions list
We are updating the Suppressions list: accounts will no longer be able to remove addresses for domains that only use shared IP addresses. Instead, the sender domain must now have at least one dedicated IP to make such changes. More info here (opens in a new tab).

Numbers and Compliance
Improvements to the process for buying numbers
In this release, the Numbers app is being improved to streamline the process for buying numbers.
When an offer is generated during the purchase of a number, the expected requirements are dependent on the country selected. The offer will ask for more specific information required per country. Previously, this was only available for the USA and UK.
For more information, see the Numbers documentation.
Resource Request API (Early Access)
The new Resource Request API is now available as an Early Access feature.
Previously, alphanumeric senders could only be requested through the Infobip web interface. Also, you could only purchase numbers in the Numbers API, which was limited to in-stock numbers and did not allow you to submit the required information directly.
The new Resource Request API now offers a simple and enhanced process for requesting alphanumeric senders and numbers.
Key features:
- Support for alphanumeric senders and numbers: create requests for number purchase and alphanumeric sender registration.
- Streamlined request requirements: API details the necessary information for registering alphanumeric senders or procuring numbers. Submit all required details directly within a request, speeding up the process.
- Requesting out-of-stock numbers: use the API to request numbers not currently in stock but can be sourced by Infobip.
- Webhook notifications for status updates: real-time updates on your resource requests through webhook notifications, integrated with Subscription Management.
For a full list of the API endpoints, see the Resource Request API documentation (opens in a new tab).
For more information, see Managing resources over API.
