Egypt Letter of Authorization (LOA) guidelines

This page is created to address and answer the most frequently asked questions about the registration requirements for Egypt and how to complete the Letter of Authorization (LOA).

Registration requirements

This section provides information about the requirements for registering senders in Egypt.

Registration is not required for international traffic. However, for local traffic within Egypt, it is necessary to register your senders. Please review and submit the specified information as outlined below.

Local senders registration

Local sender operates within Egypt and targets recipients located within the country.

Sender requirements

• Generic senders are strictly prohibited.
• Senders containing special characters are not supported.
• Senders that include the word "SMS" will be rejected.
• The sender name must be no longer than 11 characters.

Make sure to gather the following details as they will be necessary for registering with telco, in addition to the other documents:

• Use case description
• Type of traffic
• Company name
• Company website
• Industry

To register your senders, please ensure you submit the following documents and correctly complete the LOA:

1. Company Commercial Registration (CR)
2. Company tax card
3. Delegation letter

If your company operates as a reseller or wholesaler, you will need to provide two Delegation letters: one from the customer to the reseller, and another from the reseller to Infobip. You can use the same template, only remove the Infobip details for customer to reseller.

Download the Delegation letter template and follow the below guide for completing it. Fill in the yellow highlighted fields by completely replacing each field with your information. If a field is not highlighted, do not change it.

1. Date when the LOA was filled out.
2. Company letterhead.
3. Company name based on the Commercial Registration.
4. Sender ID you want to register and representative details according to the company CR with their signature and company stamp.

Once all requirements and documents are completed, you can:

• Direct customers (end customers) - start the Sender ID registration process here (opens in a new tab), and click the Request Sender button under Alphanumeric Sender ID. Provide the necessary details and submit the request.
• Wholesales/partner - contact [email protected] and your dedicated account manager, and provide the documents along with the required sender information.
