Getting started
Before you can start using KakaoTalk for business communication, you must first open a KakaoTalk channel or connect to an existing one. Follow this getting started guide for more information on how to proceed.
Open a channel
-
Open a Kakao business account on the Kakao Business web interface (opens in a new tab). You need the following documentation to enable Kakao:
- Korean Company Business License Certificate
- ID of the CEO or of the representative who would fill out the application documentation
-
Create a channel.
- You can create up to 10 channels on a Kakao business account.
- You must create separate channels to enable Kakao one-way services and Kakao two-way services.
- You must set all channels as public and searchable under profile settings.
- For two-way services, also set the channel to allow 1:1 chat.
-
Get the channel verified by Kakao Corp. The verification process may take 3 to 5 days. You may need to fill out more questions about the business industry, if applicable.
Connect your Infobip account with your Kakao account
To start using Kakao, contact your dedicated Account Manager or contact our Sales team using the Infobip Contact form (opens in a new tab).
The following channel information is required for the setup and can be found on Kakao Business web interface.

Currently, your local Infobip team (Presales and Sales) manages and configures your KakaoTalk connection. We are working on simplifying this process.
