Bangladesh Letter of Authorization (LOA) guidelines

This page is created to address and answer the most frequently asked questions about the registration requirements for Bangladesh and how to complete the Letter of Authorization (LOA).

Registration requirements

This section provides information about the requirements for registering senders in Bangladesh, which vary based on whether they are local or international senders. Sender requirements

• Personal names are not allowed.
• Special characters (e.g., !,-,_, @,’, ',&, ', %,~, #,+, $, %, etc.) are not allowed.
• Sender name should not be longer than 11 characters.

Local senders registration

Local sender operates within Bangladesh and targets recipients located within the country.

To proceed with the registration, prepare the following:

Local traffic is strictly categorized into two types: promotional and transactional. If you intend to send both types of traffic, please note the requirements below:

• Promotional traffic must be in Bengali language.
• The transactional message can be sent in Bengali, English, or a combination of both. However, English templates must be safelisted prior to use.

Before you proceed to the document requirements, prepare the following details, as they will be needed for registration with telco in addition to the documents:

• Company name
• Type of traffic
• Content sample

To register your sender, please provide the following documents:

1. Company BIN/TIN.
2. Authorization letter from the client.
3. Submit an authorization letter (listed below) for each network as required.

To proceed with the registration, download and prepare the following documents:

After you download the necessary templates, follow the below guides and fill in the highlighted fields by completely replacing each field with your information. If a field is not highlighted, do not change it.

Robi Axiata new registration

Use this template if the requested sender name has never been registered on the operator side.

1. Company letterhead.
2. Date when the LOA was filled out.
3. Representative name that will sign the LOA.
4. Sender name you want to register.
5. Representative details with their signature.

Robi Axiata re-registration

Use this template if the sender is already registered with the operator through a different aggregator.

1. Company letterhead.
2. Date when the LOA was filled out.
3. Representative name that will sign the LOA.
4. Sender name you want to register.
5. Your previous aggregator.
6. Representative details with their signature.

Teletalk

1. Company letterhead.
2. Date when the LOA was filled out.
3. Company name.
4. Sender name you want to register.
5. Company representative details with their signature.

Banglalink

1. Date when the LOA was filled out.
2. Sender name you want to register.
3. Representative details with the signature and company stamp.

Grameenphone

1. Company letterhead.
2. Company name and representative details with the signature and company stamp. Note that both pages must have a signature and company stamp.
3. Sender name you want to register.

International senders registration

The international sender operates outside Bangladesh but the target recipients are located within Bangladesh.

Before you proceed to the document requirements, prepare the following details, as they will be needed for registration with telco in addition to the document:

• Company website
• Company name
• Message content
• Headquarters address/company address
• Type of traffic
• Traffic origin

To register your sender, please download and fill out the LOA completely and accurately.

After you download the template, follow the below guide and fill in the highlighted fields by completely replacing each field with your information. If a field is not highlighted, do not change it.

1. Date when the LOA was filled out.
2. Company's representative and position.
3. Company name.
4. Sender name you want to register with the sample content.
5. Company representative details with their signature.

Once all requirements and documents are completed, you can:

• Direct customers (end customers) - start the Sender ID registration process here (opens in a new tab), and click the Request Sender button under Alphanumeric Sender ID. Provide the necessary details and submit the request.
• Wholesales/partner - contact [email protected] and your dedicated account manager, and provide the documents along with the required sender information.
