Mozambique Letter of Authorization (LOA) guidelines

Registration requirements
This section provides information about the requirements for registering senders in Mozambique, which vary based on whether they are local or international senders. To register your senders in Mozambique, please follow and submit the requirements below depending on the senders' traffic origin.
Sender requirements
- Alpha senders - Unregistered senders will be manipulated into
INFOSMS
. - Short codes - Short code must be up to 5 digits, dedicated and registered with INCM (Instituto Nacional de Comunicações de Moçambique).
Local senders registration
A local sender is an entity that operates within Mozambique and focuses on reaching recipients who are also located within the country.
Alpha senders registration
Before you proceed with the requirements, make sure to gather the following details as they will be necessary for registering with telco, in addition to the other documents:
- Message sample
- Tax code
- Company address
Prepare the below documents to proceed with the registration:
- Commercial License or Business registration (statutes published in the Republic bulletin or a similar document)
- Copy of the company's representative ID
- Delegation Letter from client to Infobip (opens in a new tab)
Download the Delegation Letter template and follow the below guide for completing it. Fill in the yellow highlighted fields by completely replacing each field with your information. If a field is not highlighted, do not change it. Once completed, upload the document in .PDF format.
- Client's letterhead.
- Client details (company name, address) and the due date for which the letter was signed.
- Client's company name and the sender to register.
- Client's company name in [CLIENT] and the representative's signature, name and job title.
Short codes registration
Before you proceed with the requirements, make sure to gather the following details as they will be necessary for registering with telco, in addition to the other documents:

International senders registration
International sender operates outside Mozambique but the target recipients are located within Mozambique.
Registration for international traffic is not required for all networks in Mozambique. Therefore, it is important to review the country's regulations and restrictions on the SMS coverage and connectivity (opens in a new tab) page before sending traffic.
Once all requirements and documents are completed, you can:
- Direct customers (end customers) - start the Sender ID registration process here (opens in a new tab), and click the Request Sender button under Alphanumeric Sender ID. Provide the necessary details and submit the request.
- Wholesales/partner - contact [email protected] and your dedicated account manager, and provide the documents along with the required sender information.
