Toll-Free Number verification
Toll-Free Numbers (TFN) now require a verification process. All SMS-related TFN terminations must undergo this verification. These verification efforts, along with increased message filtering, help combat spam and create a more trusted messaging ecosystem.
To begin the verification procedure for your Toll-Free Number (TFN), complete the TFN Sender Verification Form (opens in a new tab) with the relevant details. When you have completed the form, forward it to your established sender registration channel.
Upon receipt of the verification form, Infobip conducts a review to ensure compliance with US Messaging Content Standards (opens in a new tab), which includes express opt-in procedures. After satisfying all prerequisites, your number transitions to a 'Pending Verification' status.
Note that verification can take up to 14 business days.
Due to industry-wide changes, all pending toll-free numbers will be blocked as of January 31, 2024. After this date, all Toll-free numbers must be in the fully verified status to run traffic.
Any unverified TFN is blocked by Infobip automatically and generates an error code 488, labeled EC_TF_NUMBER_NOT_VERIFIED (opens in a new tab).
To check whether your Toll-Free Number is verified:
- Go to the Numbers app.
- Search for your specific TFN.
- Hover over the exclamation point next to your number.
- If it displays TFN Verified, you're all set.
- If the number is not displayed and you have not previously requested verification, complete the TFN Sender Verification Form (opens in a new tab) and submit the number for verification.
