This section covers the additional functionality for US voice numbers only.

Calling Name Delivery Service (“CNAM”)

Calling Name Delivery Service is available for Infobip USA Voice numbers.

It can be used in two ways:

  • CNAM Storage
  • CNAM Delivery

CNAM Storage allows clients to associate a calling name to an Infobip Voice Number, which is used to identify themselves to their users when making outbound calls.

For this feature to work properly, the recipient's phone and network must support the display of CNAM information (Caller ID with Name display), as well as their phone carrier. Some carriers might charge extra for enabling this service, or include it in specific plans.

CNAM Delivery allows clients to see caller identification when users call in on an Infobip Voice number (comes with an additional charge).

CNAM Delivery is applicable for:

911 Emergency Calling Services (USA)

Emergency Calling Services (E.911) enables clients to:

  • Associate a verified physical address to an Infobip USA Voice number
  • Issue calls from an Infobip USA Voice number to the 911 emergency services
  • Ensure that, as a verified physical address is associated to an Infobip USA Voice number, the call to emergency services is routed to the closest PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point)
Emergency Calling Services 911 (USA)

Infobip does not control how emergency calls are answered or handled by any local emergency response center. Infobip relies entirely upon third parties to route emergency calls to local and national emergency response centers.

There is a penalty fee for any outbound call to 911 emergency services from a USA phone number if that number has not been configured with the E.911 Service.
